The term “swag gap” might not be one you’re familiar with, but Kylie Kelce is ready to shed light on this intriguing concept and even embrace it with humor.
During a recent episode of her podcast, “Not Gonna Lie,” Kelce shared her discovery of a trend popularized by Gen-Z on social media. “My [social media] algorithm has informed me of a new Gen-Z trend: the swag gap,” she revealed, adding with a laugh, “And I feel personally victimized.”
Kelce described this phenomenon as a disparity in fashion sense within a couple. Picture a stylish woman paired with a man who casually throws on flip-flops and heads out the door without much thought.
Interestingly, while her husband, Jason Kelce, is renowned for his fondness for flip-flops, Kylie confessed, “I am the one bringing the team down. It’s me. It’s not my husband … he’s the one who’s got the swag.”
And while husband Jason Kelce is known for his love of flip-flops, “I am the one bringing the team down,” Kylie admitted. “it’s me. It’s not my husband … he’s the one who’s got the swag.”
It’s no secret that the former Philadelphia Eagles player isn’t as into fashion as his brother, Travis and Kylie confessed Jason “disliked suits so badly,” before his 2024 retirement.
However, dapper outfits are now part of Jason’s regular rotation for his ESPN “Monday Night Countdown” hosting gig — and Kylie is loving the switch-up.
“Let me tell you something … don’t ever ask yourself why we have four kids,” she jokes, “that’s self-explanatory,” she says with raised eyebrows.
The 33-year old also shared that, when they first met, Jason had a consistent uniform that included tight V-neck T-shirts in multiple colors.
“That was Jason’s MO. He would just wear the exact same shirt in a different color,” she said. She went on to describe: “Let me tell you, it hugged his biceps. It hung off the shoulders nicely. And it also emphasized like how, just … it looked good.”
We know Kylie is Jason’s biggest fan no matter what he wears — and she’s willing to put adoring fans in their place.
