Jesse Lally reacted to ex Michelle Saniei’s claim that he received “money from a gay guy,” and he shared more details behind the story. The star also addressed the mysterious money allegedly in Michelle’s account and her accusation that he’s broke.

On the new season of The Valley, Jesse brought up an alleged rumor that his ex was a ‘hooker’ who received $1,500 for spending the night with a billionaire. When Jesse questioned her about where certain funds came from, she mentioned it was a gift for their daughter. At one point, she accused him of spending all their money and questioned why he received money from a gay guy.

On the Two Ts In A Pod podcast, Jesse addressed their dispute.

“This person that Michelle had been accused of getting money from … He did send money when Isabella was born as a gift,” he said, via @vanderpumprulesparty on Instagram. “But the [other] money that she was accused of getting was a random day in September and a random day in another month. So it just didn’t add up.”

“She liked to deflect … by saying that I was getting money for my birthday from one of our oldest friends, but she decided to throw out that I was getting money from a gay guy, but then followed it up with [it being] on my birthday,” he stated. “This is [a friend] who is at our wedding, who traveled to Italy with us … We spent summers at his house in the Hamptons, Michelle and I. So she was just using that.”

In an interview with Us Weekly, Jesse reacted to Michelle’s claim that he spent all their money.

“This idea that I was spending all of our money on wine — that’s a lot of wine for very little storage in my little cellar, my wine fridges,” said the 44-year-old. “We lived a really great life, and we continue to live that life.”

Though Jesse suggested that their real estate business was affected by the market, he denied being broke.

“The real estate market slowed down in 2023 and 2024, and we’re both really at fault,” he said. “But it’s a perfect way for her to deflect.”

According to Jesse, he and Michelle got together with their mutual friend before season two, and they discussed what they would and wouldn’t mention on the show.

“We came in with a list of five things,” he shared. “Number one on my list was finances, so we need to figure out a financial situation. You cannot talk about it. It was more to get these things figured out going into the start of filming, and it just didn’t work out the way that we had hoped.”

“There were certain things that if I said something, she needed to fire back with something else,” Jesse added. “And those things that she fired back with were things that were on the list.”
