Kim Kardashian recently shared that her mother, Kris Jenner, was deeply concerned about a physical altercation being aired on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
During the premiere of the show’s 18th season, Kim and her elder sister, Kourtney Kardashian, were involved in a fight that Khloé Kardashian famously dubbed “the slapping fight.” This confrontation, which saw Kim striking Kourtney as the cameras were rolling, led to a temporary halt in the show’s production.
On a recent episode of the “Khloé In Wonder Land” podcast, Kim, the 45-year-old founder of Skims, recounted how her mother reacted: “Mom was like, ‘This can never see the light of day.’”
Kim continued, explaining her response to Kris’s concerns: “She was freaking out, and I was like, ‘You’re not in it, so it is making the cut.’”
Khloé chimed in, noting that Kris, now 70, insisted that “sisters don’t hit each other.” However, Kim had a different perspective, countering with, “Yeah, they do.”
Kim also recalled the sisters’ famous squabble over both marrying in Italy — Kim when she wed now ex-husband Kanye West in 2014, and Kourtney when she tied the knot with Travis Barker in 2022.
“You stoke my f–king wedding country and my wedding performer,” Kim seethed in during a Season 3 “The Kardashians” confessional, referencing opera great Andrea Bocelli.
“Andrea Bocelli is my favorite male singer of all time, but I’m copying her dolce vida lifestyle? Okay,” she added.
“Kourtney, when I said, ‘I got married in Italy, she got married in Italy,’” Kim recalled during “Khloé in Wonderland.”
“When I said that whole thing, she’s like, ‘You look like a lunatic. You have to take this out. You look insane.’ I go, ‘Perfect. Put it on. It’s making it.’ She was like, ‘No, no, I’m telling you, sister to sister, you look crazy.’ And I was like, ‘Good. I love it.’”
Kim continued, saying she had the ability to “step back and look” at the drama “from a producer’s eye.”
Of living their lives for the world to see — first on “KUWTK” and later on Hulu series “The Kardashians” — Khloe said she wasn’t sure she wanted to know what had been left out.
“Think about having literally every single day of your life filmed for like 15 years, and it’s just there,” the Khloud founder joked. “I don’t even want to know what’s on the editing floor.”
Prior to the slapping episode being aired, Kim joked that she may need legal representation amid the feud with the Poosh founder.
“I might need an attorney when that first episode comes out,” the SKIMs creator, 39, quipped during a 2020 interview on the “All’s Fair With Laura Wasser” podcast.
