Michael Rubin has finally addressed the buzz stemming from Page Six’s report in April about his decision to reschedule his annual Fourth of July party due to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming nuptials.
Typically held on July 3 or 4, the Fanatics CEO’s star-studded event at his Hamptons residence took place on a Wednesday this year. The change occurred as Swift is scheduled to wed in New York City this Friday.
Rubin explained to People magazine on Tuesday that the shift wasn’t explicitly because of the wedding date, yet he conceded he was “certainly aware of the date” and aimed to prevent any guest dilemmas about which event to attend.
The 53-year-old added that he spent time “debating the dates” before arriving at a final decision to move the party.
“People come to the White Party no matter when we do it,” he added. “The White Party is going to be spectacular.”
Rubin’s bash took place on Wednesday with Alex Rodriguez, Teyana Taylor, Mike Tyson and more A-listers in attendance.
Alicia Keys and Cardi B performed at the party.
Swift and Kelce’s wedding guests, meanwhile, have been arriving in New York City ahead of the couple’s Madison Square Garden nuptials, from Sabrina Carpenter to Camila Cabello.
The couple is expected to walk down the aisle in front of more than 1,000 guests at the iconic Big Apple venue on Friday.
They will host a more intimate rehearsal dinner of 100 people the evening prior.

While TMZ reported all guests had to sign non-disclosure agreements ahead of the ceremony, Page Six clarified on Wednesday that the couple’s close family and friends were let off the hook in that regard.
“Protecting their privacy is just something everyone in their inner circle has always naturally done,” a source explained to us. “They know there’s enormous interest in every detail of their wedding plans, so they don’t take for granted how fiercely loyal their [loved ones] have been.”
