K. Michelle unveiled intriguing insights about a heated altercation between Shamea Morton and Porsha Williams that erupted during their trip to Scotland. Her revelations came during Sunday’s installment of Watch What Happens Live.
Intriguingly, she hinted at a potential double standard behind the scenes, which led to her decision to unfollow Shamea, 44, on social media. K. Michelle also spilled the tea on the emerging drama, weighed in on Drew Sidora, 41, and her speculative thoughts on the lasting nature of Shamea’s relationship with Kelli Potter, 41. Additionally, she provided a personal update regarding her beauty enhancements.
Recalling the unexpected confrontation between Shamea and Porsha, K. Michelle said on the August 2 episode of WWHL, “I couldn’t believe it was happening because right before we sat down for dinner, Shamea was clear, ‘I’m off today. I don’t want any drama. Everyone leave me alone.’ That was the vibe we all expected.”
She then mentioned a potential double standard, asking, “Have you ever thought about that there’s things that you don’t see, or have you ever thought about the fact that sometimes people can really put themself in the mess of something and then throw their hands up like it’s nothing? It happens a lot.”
As for why she unfollowed Shamea after the season, the singer signaled something that went down at the reunion.
“It was definitely reunion,” she confirmed.
According to K. Michelle, there was more between her and Shamea than what viewers saw.
“I wish they understood how much I’ve defended and really been a friend to Shamea. I’ve always wanted it to be where she never felt ganged up on, and she always had a friend, and I wish people could see even more of that,” she shared.
Looking back on Drew’s finale fall, she suggested it was an act of God.
“God don’t like ugly. God was like, ‘No.’ But Drew is Drew, and she’s a fun time, but she hit the ground like she’s supposed to,” she declared.
Reflecting on the ups and downs she experienced on RHOA, K. Michelle admitted that her time on the show “was definitely not what [she] expected.”
“But it was what I needed, and I always say, like, each one of these ladies, they really have changed my life forever. I find myself thinking about them in the oddest of times and when I don’t want to. But it’s been a thing,” she admitted.
While Shamea and Kelli made amends amid season 17, K. Michelle disagreed that it would last. She also felt that Shamea and Porsha’s friendship was over for good.
She then offered an update on her butt implant drama and surgeries to fix it.
“I am two and a half weeks out. That was my last reconstructive surgery. I got my scars redone, I got the last implant out of me so there’s no more cutting on me, I don’t have to cry for you all. [But] I’m gonna talk about it forever because I’m gonna make sure people heal and don’t do it,” she explained. “[The] silicone is still there. It’ll be in me forever. I have to deal, but as far as being sick every day and things like that and battling some things, hopefully that’s behind me.”
During a game of “Do! You! Regret It!?,” K. Michelle confirmed she did not regret insinuating that the cast was plotting against her or calling Porsha a bimbo after claiming she hooked up with her ex while pretending to be a girls’ girl.
“I think she knows that, that she is that sometimes. She knows how I feel about bimbo. Good, bad. It is what it is. I love my Porsha,” she stated.
What she did regret were her confessional looks, explaining that she “could’ve done so much more.”
As for the rose and thorn of her debut season, K. Michelle said her rose was “the ladies and the actual friendships that I really did build,” and her thorn was “reacting too soon and trying to stop something before it happened.”
“And I wish that I had loosened up more so that I could’ve enjoyed my process more than at the very end. I was in my head,” she added.
Also on the live airing of WWHL, K. Michelle dished on her new album, Jesus & Whiskey, which is set for release in October.
“People will always tell you you have to stay in a box, or you can’t do certain things. Anything that you want is worth the fight, and it’s just a relief to be able to get it out and make my footsteps and take my journey into country music officially,” she shared.
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, K. Michelle was asked if she agreed with former cast member Claudia Jordan, 53, who said that Porsha was the new queen bee of RHOA.
“I feel like Porsha has been here a long time, like she has put in for the network and the franchise, but you know, I feel like whenever I come around, you know, I feel like I’m the queen of what happens, so we’ll see,” she replied.
Then, after Andy Cohen, 58, pointed out that RHOA was “an ensemble show,” she added, “Even within an ensemble show you have queens in their own right, and I would like to think that we all are and that’s what it is. We all are here for Atlanta.”
