Alexis Bellino is weighing in after her friend Heather Dubrow suggested on the latest episode of Real Housewives of Orange County that Shannon Beador has never had a partner who was truly worthy of her. Alexis, who is married to Shannon’s ex-boyfriend John Janssen, pushed back by saying John was the best man Shannon “would ever have gotten” if she “could have kept him.”
Alexis and John became engaged not long after his split from Shannon, around the same time he pursued legal action against his ex. Although John and Shannon ultimately reached a settlement in the lawsuit, tensions between Shannon and Alexis played out for a season before Alexis was let go from the show.
During an appearance on Reality with the King, Alexis addressed Heather’s comment about Shannon’s dating history. Heather’s remark came during a conversation on the show after Shannon opened up about feeling lonely as one of the few women in the cast who is not currently in a relationship.
“Maybe [Heather] wasn’t even trying to make a dig at John, but John is the best person that Shannon would ever have gotten … if she could have kept him,” said Alexis. “So that’s that.”
“He’s the most amazing husband and the most amazing person in this world, and the most giving person,” continued Alexis, who then seemed to throw more shade at Shannon. “I feel like you attract what you give off. So if you can’t find your person, then maybe do a self-assessment.”
Alexis seemingly hinted that Shannon should look at “what can be done internally” in order to “attract somebody” she deserves.
“If you want to be victim,” said Alexis, “or you want to be bold or you want to be kind or you want to be selfish or you want to be like all these different things that go on in life, [then] manifest what you want.”
“You’ll find exactly the person that you’re giving that energy to,” she added. “And if you can’t give a different energy, then that person’s never going to come to you.”
