Helen Skelton’s ex-husband Richie Myler and his girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill are expecting a second child together, as per reports. The news comes after the pair welcomed their first daughter, Olivia, last year.
Richie and Stephanie, both 33, have been in a relationship following the York City Knights scrum half’s split from Helen, 40, in April 2022. He and the Countryfile presenter finalised their divorce earlier this year and are working to co-parent their three children, Ernie, eight, Louis, six, and Elsie, two.
According to The Sun, Stephanie is thought to be seven months pregnant. The couple are also reported to be “over the moon” about the new addition to their family.
Express.co.uk has contacted representatives of Richie Myler and Helen Skelton for comment. Stephanie Thirkill’s representatives declined to comment further.
Richie’s and Helen’s break-up came just four months after the birth of their daughter, Elsie. At the time, the former Strictly Come Dancing star took to social media to reveal they would no longer be living together.
“Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple,” she wrote on Instagram. “He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co parent our small children.”
Helen later sold the Yorkshire family home and moved back in with her parents.
She has recently purchased a property near her loved ones in Cumbria.
Speaking about the split from Richie in her book, In My Stride, the former Blue Peter presenter wrote: “I was in shock. I know that following break-ups, people often say they didn’t see it coming and it sounds like a cliché, but that was me.”
She added that in hindsight she may have missed “signs” of their marriage breaking down due to being “consumed” by their house renovation project.
Helen added that she might have just “ignored” indications of the relationship failing.
Last summer, the mum-of-three also announced she was calling time on her BBC Radio 5 Live show so that she may spend more time with her three children.
