Dream Kardashian stole the spotlight in a recent video that’s gone viral on social media, but some fans are asking where her parents are, as Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna both remain largely out of the public’s eye, despite their previous forays on reality television.
Kia Harper, a Los Angeles hair braider, took to Instagram on April 14 to showcase her latest creation: a waist-length hairstyle for Dream. The post featured a video offering a full look at Dream’s voluminous knotless box braids.
From the clip, it’s evident that Dream thoroughly enjoyws her new hairstyle, as she confidently swung her hair back and forth, displaying her satisfaction with the look.
It was unclear who took her to the hairstylist, given it was posted to the professional’s account. But Harper did shout-out Rob in the caption, writing, “Jumbo Knotless in queen Dream! Done by me and my girl @beautyfixxla! Special s/o to @robkardashianofficial! We really appreciate you!”
Likewise, Rob left a comment expressing gratitude to Harper for doing such a good job on his daughter’s hair. “Thank you!! You are amazing! We love you,” Rob wrote.
Why Fans Question If Khloe Is The Main Person Taking Care Of Dream
For now, Dream’s mom Blac Chyna didn’t respond to the viral video. This may be because she’s taken a step back from the spotlight in recent years, due to her conversion to Christianity in 2023. But it’s been largely speculated by fans for years that Dream spends most of her time with the Kardashian family.
Dream frequently appears in family snapshots, demonstrating her close bond with the Kardashian-Jenners, despite tensions with Blac Chyna, including the $100 million she filed against them a few years ago, though it was unsuccessful. Khloe Kardashian often shares images of her daughter True, 4, alongside Dream on social media, prompting curiosity about Dream’s primary residence, considering her frequent presence at her aunt’s home. Khloe has even said she feels like a parent towards Dream.
“I feel like I’m like, a third parent for Dream, I guess,” Khloe has previously said. “I mean, I do know how important it is for Dream to have a great maternal influence, whether that be from me, or her own mom, or whoever.”
After their dramatic split in 2017, Rob and Chyna reached a joint custody agreement that proved challenging to uphold, leading to ongoing disputes until a resolution was reached in 2020, especially given the various allegations of substance abuse and domestic violence they levied against each other.
Under the current arrangement, they reportedly share physical custody of Dream, alternating weeks and splitting holiday and vacation time equally, with the condition that they remain drug and alcohol-free while caring for her.
While Chyna currently shares custody, her parenting has faced scrutiny, with Child Protective Services investigating in 2017 and again in 2019 following anonymous complaints, though her lawyer dismissed the latter as fraudulent. She’s also accused Rob of failing to pay child support, which he’s denied, as has the father of her other child, Tyga.
