Savannah Chrisley and Jason Galanis’ Significant Age Gap Explained

Savannah Chrisley is married to Jason Galanis, who is 56—27 years older than the 29-year-old reality star. Rather than downplay the striking age difference, Savannah has addressed it openly and made clear that it does not bother her.

Details about Savannah’s marriage weren’t immediately shared by the reality star herself. Rather, on October 27, 2026, she revealed to her Instagram followers that she was pregnant, included a ring emoji in her caption, and shouted out her partner, whom she referred to simply by his first name’s initial, “J.” The very same day of that post, she also released a solo episode of her “Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley” podcast and revealed that she and her partner, whom she simply referred to as “Jason,” had gotten engaged in the Cayman Islands during a vacation. Two days after that, People revealed that Savannah and Galanis were actually married already and had tied the knot in July 2026 in the Cayman Islands.

The 27-year gap has drawn plenty of attention from social media users, but Savannah says she is entirely unfazed. During an episode of Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, she dismissed the criticism, saying, “So yes, the age difference. So what? I don’t care.” She added that Galanis “does not look his age, nor does he act his age,” praising his physique and sharp mind. Savannah also made her feelings clear, saying, “This person is the love of my life, and it made all the heartbreak that I’ve gone through worth it.”

Todd Chrisley isn’t bothered by his daughter’s older husband either

Savannah is comfortable with the age gap, and her family has ultimately accepted it as well. Still, Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley acknowledged that they initially had reservations. During a joint appearance on “Dumb Blonde Podcast,” Todd told host Bunnie Xo, “It was not something that I embraced,” prompting Julie to agree, “Not at all.” Todd explained that he eventually realized he had to accept the relationship or risk damaging his bond with Savannah, adding, “nothing is ever coming between me and my daughter.” He also spoke warmly about the way Galanis treats her, saying he was impressed by the love and care he witnessed. Referring to Galanis as his son-in-law—while stopping short at the time of confirming whether the couple had officially married—Todd called him “brilliant” and said Savannah was “emotionally set for life” as well as financially secure. He hinted that Galanis is exceptionally wealthy when Bunnie noted that Savannah was already financially successful, joking, “She was good on her own, not like she is today.”

Todd expressed a similar view on his podcast with his brother and mother, Nanny Faye, “Two Sons and Me.” After asking Faye whether Savannah and Galanis’ age difference concerned her—she said it did not—Todd told listeners that he felt the same way. “Nanny and I always have a difference of opinion, but I want to say I ain’t got a problem with it either, because I see how happy my daughter is,” he said.

Todd, Julie and Nanny Faye now appear fully supportive of the relationship. But regardless of anyone else’s opinion, Savannah has made it clear that she is happy—and that is what matters most to her.
