Strictly Come Dancing’s Shirley Ballas has given fans an update on her foot injury while attending a Comic Relief event in London wearing an ankle support brace.

Yesterday the 62-year-old posed for photographs at the Shaftesbury Theatre, where she was in attendance for a gala performance of Mrs. Doubtfire.

Shirley was pictured on the blue carpet sporting a white ankle brace.

Discussing the event and the injury with her 277,000 Instagram followers, the dancer said: “So I’ve just come back from watching Mrs Doubtfire and these shoes served me well today and this beautiful handbag and it all went with my lovely outfit.”

She then went on to point out how “swollen” her foot was.

In snaps, the Strictly judge stunned in a hot pink double-breasted blazer and matching tailored shorts from Phase Eight.

She opted to wear a plain white T-shirt under the blazer and stepped out in a pair of nude Gianvito Rossi stilettos.

Shirley accessorised the look with a vegan leather bag from Amschela, which she wore long and over her right shoulder.

Looking as radiant as ever, the star went for a minimal make-up look which featured a subtle pink lip.

One fan wrote: “You look stunning Shirley have the most amazing time.”

Another said: “Oh wow this looks fab.”

Earlier that day, the mum-of-one revealed that she had been in two minds about wearing the support brace to the theatre.

Before heading to the London gala, Shirley posted another video of her foot to Instagram.

She told her fans: “My foot is going all black now. It’s very swollen. You see that?

“But also when I went to yoga today I hurt my shoulder. So that came up the day after. So I hurt my shoulder, a sore foot as well.”

The BBC star then said she was “trying to decide” if she should put the ankle brace back on because “I always want to wear my heels”.

The brief injury update came a day after Shirley revealed she had unfortunately fallen while doing a spot of gardening.

On Saturday she told her followers: “Look what I did doing the gardening this morning.

“Oh, yes. When I tell you I was lucky I didn’t break it. I mean, I was lucky I didn’t break it.

“I’ve already broken it twice in my life. Strong ankles but I fell on my hands, my wrists and almost my face, but saved that.”
