Speculation about the couple’s impending marriage has been circulating over three years since they first paired up, especially after they attended the secret, intimate wedding of Tom Holland and Zendaya. “They’re inspired by how Zendaya and Tom kept their wedding completely private,” a source revealed to InTouch on August 11. Discussing their plans, the insider mentioned that while the reality TV icon might drop some social media hints about the ceremony, Timothée’s preference is to keep everything tightly under wraps, strictly off-limits to the public eye.
Naturally, the concept of not monetizing the event isn’t sitting well with Kris Jenner. “[Kris] envisions a grand festivity captured on film, complete with lucrative sponsorship deals,” shared the source with InTouch. This famed momager isn’t overly concerned about the actual ceremony as much as she is about hosting an extravagant bash. As long as the wedding is brought to the small screen, she’s satisfied. However, Kylie and Timothée remain steadfast, refusing to transform their personal joy into a commercialized spectacle for ratings. “They plan to disregard the spectacle and stay true to themselves,” the insider emphasized.
While Kris might still hold out hope to sway her daughter’s decision, the couple seems in no rush to progress to engagement, despite their often-public displays of affection. “They’re not hurrying towards an engagement,” a separate source told People on August 7. This sentiment highlights their contentment with the current state of their relationship. It’s been suggested that Kylie herself is pressing pause on any wedding plans, leaving Kris understandably frustrated.

Even after years of dating, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner seem to navigate different outlooks regarding their future. “Timothée is considering proposing,” a source shared with the Daily Mail in April 2026. Yet, it appears Kylie isn’t quite ready for marriage. The “Wonka” star has even reached out to Kris and Kylie’s sister Kendall for pointers on persuading her. While Kris Jenner desires the couple to marry soon, she’s not alone in this; the entire family reportedly wishes for a wedding in the near past.
Outside of reports from sources, Chalamet himself has spoken about the prospect of marrying his longtime girlfriend. While doing press for “Marty Supreme” in February, the Hollywood A-lister was asked by a reporter if he and his girlfriend would eventually get married. “Wow, that’s so personal. That’s so personal … [You’re] gonna get me in trouble, man,” Chalamet responded with a smile (via Page Six). “Yes. Yes,” Chalamet added, a semi-confirmation that he’d like to see nuptials in his future.
Despite the difference in eagerness between the “Bones and All” actor and the beauty mogul regarding marriage, their relationship remains strong. They might simply be waiting for a break in their bustling careers. A report from August 2025 mentioned that their busy schedules kept them apart for weeks.
