A two-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital after being attacked by a family dog in Adelaide.
The toddler was bitten on the face at around 1.30pm on Monday on Camilla Avenue in the suburb of Osborne, 25km north of Adelaide’s CBD, South Australia Police said.
The child was taken to the Woman and Children’s Hospital with are reported to be superficial facial injuries.
The little girl’s father told 7NEWS he heard growling and found the dog attacking his daughter.
Community Safety Officers from the City of Port Adelaide Enfield Council later removed the dog from the home.Â

‘The owner surrendered the dog, and it was immediately removed from the property,’ a spokesperson said.
Neighbour Anthony Dear said ‘the ambos were just pulling up as I was pulling in,’ and that the dog was still there at the time. Â
