Welcome to Plathville star Isaac Plath appears to have rekindled his romance with ex-girlfriend Kaylynn Brinkley.
“Always been you,” the 20-year-old reality personality wrote in the caption of a joint Instagram carousel shared on Sunday, August 30. The post featured a series of romantic images from a couples’ photo shoot with Brinkley, set against a golden sunset in an open field. In the pictures, the pair cuddle, pose closely and share playful moments, including one shot of Isaac twirling Brinkley by the hand.
Isaac also tagged Brinkley in the Instagram post, making the reunion clear to fans who watched their breakup unfold on the April 14 episode of the TLC series.
Welcome to Plathville follows rural Georgia parents Kim and Barry Plath and eight of their nine children. Over the years, the conservative Christian family’s evolving relationships have become a major part of the show, as the Plath kids explore romance and independence beyond the strict, sheltered upbringing they experienced on the family farm.
Since Welcome to Plathville premiered on TLC in 2019, the Plath family has faced significant personal changes. Kim Plath and Barry Plath, who rose to fame through the docuseries, announced their separation in June 2022 after years of filming their family life in rural Georgia.
Isaac and Brinkley’s rekindled flame drew plenty of fan support in the post’s comments section, with one fan writing, “I’m so glad they are still together. I hope they marry and have lots of babies,” and another writing, “You sweet dolls!!!!! I just love this and seeing that you stayed together.”

During the pair’s breakup episode, which saw Isaac call time on the romance due to feeling overwhelmed by how quickly things were progressing, Isaac admitted that he regretted his decision. “That’s one of the things that makes me feel so stupid, and it’s one of those things where, right after you make the decision, you just know in your gut it wasn’t a good decision,” he said at the time.

Isaac added that he’d reached out to Brinkley in the hope of reviving their relationship. “I have no desire to do anything other than to rebuild it with her,” Isaac said. “That’s all I want. That’s all I can see myself doing. She’s going to have to decide what she wants to do. A few days of being by myself is too much already, and it’s killing me inside.”

Brinkley’s response to her ex’s change of heart was far from being impressed. “Honestly, right now, I don’t necessarily know where me and Isaac stand. I really believed so much that he was the one. But trust isn’t just given,” she said at the time. “It’s something that you have to earn with your actions. We’ll just see what he does. And just give it to God, because that’s the only other thing I can do.”
Season 8 of Welcome to Plathville wrapped in June, with a new season yet to be announced, or confirmed, by TLC.
