On Thursday evening, the 54-year-old Marvel icon delighted his fans on Instagram, unveiling a radiant selfie in which he donned a Global Citizens shirt, all to champion a significant cause.
The photo captures Hugh’s smile, a blend of resilience and warmth, as he sits wearing the black shirt marked with a striking red circle logo.
“Let’s go Global Citizen festival! Rain or shine, it’s happening in NYC this weekend. If you’re attending, enjoy the event in Central Park,” he enthusiastically captioned the snapshot.
Jackman is no stranger to hosting such events, actively backing the initiative aimed at eradicating extreme poverty through sustainable progress.

It comes after Jackman and Furness announced they were divorcing after 27 years of marriage.
‘We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,’ the couple said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE on Friday.
‘Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition.’
The former couple signed the statement as ‘Deb and Hugh Jackman,’ adding: ‘This is the sole statement either of us will make.’
The Australian couple share two children together; Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
