Danielle Buckley, a vocal supporter of Lindsay Clancy, arrived at the courthouse on Thursday, bearing a deeply personal memento: the cremated remains of her son, Evan.
In a candid conversation with the Daily Mail, Buckley revealed that both she and Evan endured significant mental health challenges, with Evan tragically ending his own life in 2024.
“I was prescribed so many different medications that keeping track of them was nearly impossible,” Buckley confessed, offering a glimpse into her own battles.
She went on to share, “I had my kids start taking showers regularly because I was grappling with the same issues. Although I didn’t think I would ever follow through, the possibility was frightening.”
“The thought of harming my children never crossed my mind,” she continued, “but there was a point where I questioned whether I could continue living this way. And so, I deeply resonate with Lindsay Clancy’s struggles, especially in light of what happened recently with my son.”

She wanted to come to support Clancy because she said they also had bad experiences with the mental health industry.
‘The big issue that I think we can really address is the healthcare system,’ she said.
‘So many people fall through the cracks. My son fell through the cracks.’
On the verdict, Buckley said: ‘I just want her to be not guilty. I think that she’s paid the price.’
