Police are working to identify a body pulled from a river in Melbourne‘s CBD overnight.
Emergency services were called to Southbank Boulevard, in Melbourne’s Southbank entertainment precinct, about 7.30pm on Saturday night.
It’s understood member of the public raised the alarm after spotting the body floating in the Yarra River.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said investigators were working to identify the individual.
‘Police will prepare a report for the coroner,’ she said.
‘The exact circumstances and cause of death are yet to be determined.’
