Dawn Coleman has been arrested for murdering a boy named Cairo Jordan, whose body was found in a suitcase.

One day after Police announced a significant development in the investigation into the death of a boy discovered in a suitcase in Washington County, Indiana, more details are coming to light regarding the woman currently in custody in connection with the case.

In connection with the passing of 5-year-old Cairo Jordan, Dawn Coleman is being held in a San Francisco jail.

Dawn Coleman Arrested: What Did She Do?

A woman sought in connection with the death of a 5-year-old boy discovered inside a suitcase is currently being held in southern Indiana.

For her part in Cairo Jordan’s death, Dawn Coleman, 40, was arrested last month in San Francisco. He was discovered dead in April from an electrolyte imbalance, but it wasn’t until late October that he was identified.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Coleman was transferred to their facility and booked early Sunday at 1:25 am.

She is accused of obstructing justice and causing the death of a dependent through neglect.

She is from Shreveport, Louisiana, according to the Police. The names “Ankh Kek” and “Mama Gawd” are listed on her Facebook page, and she has been active on social media, posting several videos and messages.

Coleman’s arrest warrant refers to several of her social media posts.

Where Is Cairo Jordan’s Mother Dejaune Anderson?

Dejaune Anderson, the young boy’s mother, is still on the run.

Although Anderson has visited Houston, Las Vegas, San Diego, and San Francisco, it was initially thought that she was in the Los Angeles region. She is accused of murder.

In custody at the Washington County Jail is Dawn Coleman. She is accused of murder as well as the same offenses as Coleman. According to investigators, Anderson wrote on Facebook a day before Cairo’s body was discovered, “This is a whole demon in a child’s body.”

According to a probable cause affidavit, fingerprints found on garbage bags inside the suitcase allowed authorities to identify both women. The Police claimed to have viewed images of the same suitcase on Coleman’s Facebook page.

The Police have not described the relationship between the women. Even though Anderson allegedly refers to Coleman as her “sister” in court documents, Police claim they don’t think this is the case.

Dawn Coleman Charges For Killing Cairo Jordan

Dawn Coleman is charged with being involved in the death of 5-year-old Cairo Jordan, who was discovered dead inside a suitcase in southern Indiana.

Coleman is charged with obstruction of justice and neglect of a dependent that resulted in death. On Monday, she will be arraigned in court.

To face charges of neglect of a dependent resulting in death and obstructing justice, Coleman is reportedly expected to be extradited to the Washington County jail within 30 days, according to the Police.

According to court documents, fingerprints on the trash bag that Jordan was wrapped in matched Coleman’s. A second match was found on the trash bag belonging to Dejaune Ludie Anderson, Jordan’s mother.

Before detectives went to California to arrest Coleman and Anderson, a warrant was issued in October for their detention. Anderson was not located by authorities, but Coleman was. She is thought to be hiding out in California.

Jordan was discovered a month later, and the Indiana State Police reported that he most likely passed away from dehydration and electrolyte imbalance brought on by vomiting and diarrhea.
