The latest Love Island bombshell Scott Van-Der-Sluis has already secretly dated one of the previous show’s icons. 

The Welsh footballer, 22, entered the Majorca villa during Thursday evening’s episode and took Jess on a romantic date. 

However, this is not the first time he has pulled an ITV2 islander for a chat as he previously dated one brunette beauty from the hit dating show. 

Scott, dated non other than season eight star Paige Thorne, 24. 

The new bombshell, who is originally from Connah’s Quay in north Wales, whilst Paige is from Swansea, originally met on the party circuit.

The hunk, who plays in goal for Irish Premier Division club Shelbourne, and beauty Paige, dated for a ‘couple of months’ in 2020.

A source told The Sun: ‘It wasn’t serious with Paige and Scott but they had a great few months together. They met out on the party scene as Paige knows lots of footballers.

‘It didn’t end for any reason in particular, just one of those things. They were both young and not looking for anything serious.’ 

Arriving in the villa, Scott confessed that he has enjoyed being single for the past couple of years.

He said: ‘I’ve been single through my own choice, as well as circumstances. I’ve moved around a lot with football and I’ve been based in Dublin playing football for over a year.

‘I’ve been single for three and a half years so it’s been a while so I’m ready and open to anything. I like a girl with a strong personality, who’s independent and knows what they want.’

The new bombshell has also been revealed to know another former islander, Anna-May Robey from the 2023 winter series. 

She recently took to Instagram to share his promo Love Island shot and wished him luck on the ITV2 show.

She penned: ‘Secrets out!!! Hope all the pep talks were worth it. Rooting for you.’
