Mya finished her education at Martinsburg High School in the ninth grade. Sadly, we lost My Brice on Sunday, July 26, 2023, due to injuries he received in a terrible accident.

Even though she was only on the planet for 16 years, her impact on many people will endure a lifetime.

Her friends and boyfriend, Tristen, showed her how much they loved and supported her throughout these difficult times.

Mya Brice Family Mourns The Loss

Mya was born in Winchester, Virginia, and is survived by her stepfather, James Etheridge IV, and mother, Sylvia Brice.

Her siblings James Etheridge V (Kris Broche), whom she called Bubby, her sisters Destiny Walker (Ras Harrison), Totianna “Tt” Etheridge (James Guthrie), and Talea (Tibby) Brice, as well as her uncles John and Michael, aunts Lynn, Michelle, and Jackie, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins all made up the family.

Her father, David Daniel Brice, and grandparents, John (Granddad) Mahoney and Charles (Pop-pop) Minters, predeceased her.

Her mother asked that this lovely remembrance of our precious Mya include a mention of her favorite cat, Nova.

Mya, who has always loved cats, recently expressed the desire to have her first tattoo of the feline Nova.

The Brice family remembers the happy times they had together, including playing together and enjoying each other’s accomplishments.

The Brice family finds solace in recollections of her contagious laughter, infinite kindness, and unselfish spirit as they endure this trying time.
