Gail Porter’s father said she acquired mental health issues once she “went to London” from Scotland.

The actress has struggled with post-natal depression and bipolar disorder, and she was sectioned in 2011 under the Mental Health Act.

Porter was forced to file for bankruptcy in 2017, leaving her homeless and sleeping on a park bench in Hampstead Heath, London, since she couldn’t afford to rent a home.

Gail believes that because of her Scottish ancestry, she has been able to rise from the abyss.

The TV personality lacked the financial and credit resources to live comfortably, and she was freezing; nonetheless, Honey inspired her to get her life in order and seek therapy. She was able to return to her previous lifestyle and regain her confidence to restart her life.
