According to KOIN, Lincoln County police confirmed that Paulsen’s body was recovered from the river, approximately three miles from his home. A medical examiner will determine his cause of death.

KOIN reported that Juan Heredia with Angels Recovery Dive Team found Paulsen’s body. Heredia, a volunteer diver, was participating in the search at the family’s request.

Officials previously indicated that foul play was not suspected in Paulsen’s disappearance.
