The urgent search for a missing Texas teenager has been intensified with the release of new dashcam footage, potentially illuminating the events surrounding her disappearance on Christmas Eve. This recently unveiled video, captured by a passing driver and shared by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on December 29, depicts an individual resembling 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos. Seen walking north along Wildhorse Parkway near her San Antonio residence around 7 a.m., the footage may hold crucial insights into her whereabouts.
While the identity of the person in the video cannot be confirmed with absolute certainty, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar expressed in a December 29 press conference, “The clothing description on the pedestrian certainly does match up with what she was wearing at the time.” In sharing this recording, the sheriff’s office hopes that others in the community might have captured similar footage that could aid the investigation.
Before the release of the dashcam footage, Camila was last believed to be seen at 6:58 a.m., as recorded by a neighbor’s doorbell camera. According to a statement from the sheriff’s office issued on December 24, the video shows a person, thought to be Camila, searching her vehicle for an unknown item. The recording concludes before revealing her subsequent actions, but her vehicle remained parked at her home, suggesting she left on foot.
