A Tennessee father is accused of leaving his 4-month-old daughter alone in the front seat of a running vehicle while he went to a downtown bar.
Jordan Hayley, 25, faces charges of child neglect involving a child age 8 or younger and leaving an unattended child in a motor vehicle, according to court records reviewed by Law&Crime. His bond was set at $1,500.
According to police, the child’s mother told officers Hayley had been responsible for caring for their daughter, but she did not know where the baby was. Hayley allegedly claimed that the woman’s mother was watching the child, a statement the woman denied.
