Gainesville Resident Receives 15-Year Prison Term Following Guilty Plea to 20 Child Pornography Offenses

Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In a recent court decision, 30-year-old Alexander William Callison has been sentenced to a 15-year prison term, followed by 10 years under sexual offender supervision, after submitting a plea of nolo contendere regarding 20 separate child pornography charges.

Callison’s initial arrest took place on June 4, 2025, following a CyberTip that traced a Kik account linked to 651 images and videos. Remarkably, 591 of these visual files depicted a similar individual—described as a lean, muscular Caucasian male with tattoos, featuring a cross on his chest and an additional marking on his forearm.

Further investigations revealed another CyberTip comprising conversations with other Kik users who claimed to be underage. Callison was found to have sent videos of a sexual nature after learning of their purported ages, and the exchanges reportedly included sixteen occasions where he solicited inappropriate content from these individuals.

The phone number used for establishing the initial Kik account was directly connected to Callison. This same number was tied to the IP address utilized for content uploads found in the second CyberTip, further disclosing Callison’s involvement.

On June 5, 2026, Callison entered a plea of nolo contendere to 10 counts of using a computer to solicit a minor, five counts of transmission of material harmful to minors, two counts of possession of child pornography, and three counts of directing or promoting a sexual performance by a child.

Judge Susanne Wilson Bullard sentenced him to three concurrent sentences of 15 years in prison for the three counts of directing or promoting a sexual performance by a child, and she added 10 concurrent sentences of five years of sex offender probation for using a computer to solicit a minor, followed by an additional seven concurrent sentences of five years of sex offender probation on the remaining charges. Callison will be designated as a sexual offender with lifetime registration obligations.

Callison has been held in the Alachua County Jail since his original arrest and will be credited 370 days toward the prison sentence.
