Police said that witnesses reported seeing a red vehicle in the area just before the body was found. That vehicle was later located and stopped in neighboring Bartow County after a brief chase.
WANF reported that Taylor had an arrest warrant in nearby Cobb County for a string of crimes on November 1. Court records say he tried to hit a woman with his car, then grabbed her by the hair and pulled her into the car. The two got into a verbal and physical fight at a nearby gas station, where he took her car keys and left the scene when he learned police were en route.
