Prosecutors said Jack and Gabbie were in the midst of a custody dispute in 2020 and 2021 when she allegedly enlisted the help of her then-boyfriend to use the dark web to hire a hitman.
Her father Francisco got involved when he allegedly sent $10,000 to Kai to find, hire and pay a killer, prosecutors said. Two months later, authorities said Francisco sent an additional $4,000 at Kai’s request after the alleged hit man asked for more money.
