More than a year after the death of his estranged wife, Mica Miller, South Carolina pastor John Paul Miller has remarried.
Miller wed Suzie Skinner on June 1, 2025, according to Netflix’s docuseries Death of the Pastor’s Wife, which features footage from the couple’s ceremony. Before his marriage to Mica, John Paul had been married to Alison Williams.
Suzie’s connection to Miller dates back to Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, where he served as pastor. She and her then-husband, Christopher Skinner, began attending the church while they were married; the couple had been together since 2004 and shared twins.
The Netflix series also revisits allegations from Mica’s friends, who claimed John Paul and Suzie were involved in an affair before the deaths of their respective spouses. Charlotte Korn said Mica told her “she had known for a while” about the alleged relationship.
In September 2021, Christopher Skinner—who had been paralyzed from the neck down following a car accident in his 20s—was found dead in a community pool. WPDE reported that a coroner ruled his cause of death as asphyxiation due to drowning.
“The last three or four months of his life, he started telling me he didn’t like that pastor and that he wanted to stop attending the church and to find a new church,” his sister claimed in the doc. “But Suzie didn’t want to stop attending. She would go without him.”
John-Paul and Suzie declined to comment on the allegations to the docuseries producers.

Oxygen also reached out to Miller’s attorney for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Mica Miller’s Death Ruled a Suicide
Mica died on April 27, 2024, at age 30. Her death was officially ruled a suicide, although her family and friends have continued to question what happened to her.
Surveillance footage from that morning showed Mica leaving her apartment, purchasing a handgun, and traveling to Lumber River State Park, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities also said she called 911 with her plan to kill herself and asked whether her phone could be located so her family could find her body.
Friends and family continue to suspect foul play, accusing JP in the docuseries of years of controlling behavior and disturbing abuse, claims he has denied.
“Never once in any way, shape, or form,” he told ABC 11. “Not any type of abuse. Not physical. No type of abuse ever.”
However, he was indicted in December 2025 for alleged cyberstalking and making false statements to federal investigators.
He has pleaded not guilty to those charges.
