This disclosure arrives as Trump is embroiled in a defamation lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal. The case revolves around their coverage of a controversial letter from Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003, described as “bawdy.” In this newly revealed email exchange, Epstein refers to Trump as the “dog that hasn’t barked,” a curious metaphor that suggests Trump’s name has surprisingly remained absent from discussions about Epstein’s activities.
In April 2011, Epstein communicated with his convicted associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, expressing his surprise over the situation, according to records provided to the House Oversight Committee. Epstein wrote to Maxwell, “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump. [Redacted victim name] spent hours at my house with him, he has never once been mentioned. police chief. etc. im 75% there.”
Maxwell, responding several hours later, simply noted, “I have been thinking about that…” This exchange adds another layer to the complex web of associations surrounding Epstein, raising questions that continue to intrigue both investigators and the public alike.

In an email from 2019, Epstein told author Michael Wolff, who is currently suing First Lady Melania Trump, that “of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine to stop.”
