WALDO, Fla. — A 32-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot her brother as his children were nearby, according to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. Antoinette Sameka Henneghan also faces a charge of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon.
Deputies were called to a home on NE 148th Avenue at about 6:27 a.m. on Sept. 12. The victim told investigators that Henneghan became angry because she believed his children had been eating her snacks. He said he heard what sounded like a firearm being racked before Henneghan came to his bedroom with a pistol at her side and allegedly threatened to shoot everyone inside while mentioning funeral homes.
According to the victim, Henneghan said, “You think I’m playing,” before leaving the room. He then gathered his children and fled the residence, meeting deputies at a nearby gas station.
Investigators later secured a search warrant for the home. During the search, deputies reportedly found six rounds of ammunition and a 9mm magazine in Henneghan’s bedroom, as well as four additional bullets inside a tote container.

Henneghan, classified as a violent felony offender of special concern, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon. Her record includes four felony convictions, three of them violent, and two non-violent misdemeanor convictions. She was released in April after serving 180 days in the Alachua County Jail for a probation violation. Judge Mitchell Bishop ordered Henneghan held without bond while the court considers a State Attorney’s Office motion seeking to keep her jailed without bail until trial. If that request is denied, bond will be determined at the hearing.
