Adulting is back with a bang as Season 2 of the popular comedy “Adults,” created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, has finally dropped on Hulu. Fans can look forward to not only seeing familiar faces like Samir, played by Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer’s Billie, Jack Innanen as Paul Baker, Amita Rao’s Issa, and Owen Thiele’s Anton, but they will also be introduced to an exciting lineup of new characters that promise to shake things up.
Season 2 dives into the chaotic yet relatable lives of the housemates as they confront a fresh batch of real-world dilemmas. Imagine your old fake ID winding up with someone who’s cooler and eternally younger than you. Picture trying to explain to your pals why you genuinely love your monotonous office gig. Consider how family gatherings somehow turn you back into your awkward, younger self. How do you ask for change when you’re clinging to the status quo? According to the synopsis, the friends excel at crafting convoluted strategies to spare each other’s feelings and creating roundabout solutions for problems they’re hesitant to tackle directly. They may not always learn from their mistakes, but they always find ingenious ways to mess things up. Nevertheless, they never fail to show up for each other in the end.
In Season 1, the show thrilled audiences with guest stars such as Charlie Cox, Julia Fox, and D’Arcy Carden. Season 2 continues this star-studded tradition by bringing in a slew of guest appearances. Comedy icons like Susie Essman, beloved performers like Raven-Symoné, and popular streaming personalities such as Gaten Matarazzo are just the beginning. Liam Cullagh, Will Sennett, and Joey Dardano as The Bros
The bros have officially arrived! In Season 2’s premiere episode “The Scrub,” we meet Liam Cullagh, Will Sennett, and Joey Dardano as Paul Baker’s “other friend group.” These are the buddies he met when he first set foot in New York City, well before the events of “Marathon Day.” They epitomize the “bro” stereotype in the best way possible, earning Anton’s label of Paul Baker’s “shame friends.”

Susie Essman plays Arlene, the mother of one of Billie’s childhood friends who has unfortunately (and in Billie’s case, inconveniently) since passed away, in Adults Season 2, Episode 1, “The Scrub.” You likely recognize Essman from playing Susie Green on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Jake Shane as Garrett and Sophie Telegadis as Sophie-Rose
Billie gets schooled on doing club by the girl who’s been bestowed her fake ID, Sophie-Rose (played by Sophie Telegadis), and her friend and fellow early-20s friend, Garrett (Jake Shane), in Adults Season 2, Episode 2, “Fake ID.”

Gaten Matarazzo as Alex (AKA Fake Samir)

Eric’s (Isaac Powell) got his eyes on Anton in Adults Season 2, Episode 2, “Fake ID,” after the two realize they know the same seemingly secret “method” that can get them pretty much anything their hearts desire while out on the town. In Season 2, Episode 3, Talia and wife Brooke (Jury Duty‘s Cassandra Blair) — who are considering starting a family — visit Anton in the city and unlock his exceptionally dramatic alter ego reserved solely for blood relatives. Anton’s not the only one getting hit on at the club. The one, the only Julian Manjerico returns after his Season 1 finale introduction as Zach-Carlos bin Laden (yes, he added a new last name) in Season 2, Episode 5, “Room Swap.” No spoilers, but we’ll just say you’ll never guess why Zach-Carlos is in Samir’s parents’ house in a robe — and it’s not just to eat the last string cheese in their fridge.
