Bachelor In Paradise star Jade Roper revealed she is trying to ‘get to the other side of this loss’ after experiencing a missed miscarriage.
On Tuesday, the 36-year-old reality star revealed to her more than 1.3 million Instagram followers that she underwent surgery, despite her attempts to avoid an operation.
‘Well, here we are. I didn’t want or expect it to go this way, but it is. I so badly wanted to bury him under a beautiful tree in our yard, to see any glimpse of his tiny body, which is I why I held out so long trying to trust my body,’ she captioned a photo of herself laying on a hospital gurney.
She continued: ‘But, it is time to heal and get to the other side of this loss. I’ve been trying to protect my peace and respect my baby, so I’ve only been sharing bits and pieces here and there to hopefully maybe help someone else feel less alone going through this.’
While speaking to others that have experienced pregnancy loss and infertility, the Colorado native said: ‘I see you, I feel your pain, and I love you.’

The mother-of-three, who is married to Tanner Tolbert, also penned a heartfelt message to her unborn son, Beau, who she carried for ‘almost 5 months.’
‘I carry you with me in my heart every where and for always,’ she concluded.
Later, she revealed that she was home ‘resting’ and feeling ‘heartbroken, yet, at peace.’
While snuggled up in bed, the TV personality sported a blue crewneck sweatshirt, from Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, and a white hospital bracelet around her wrist.
The devastating update comes after Roper was taken to the ER after ‘feeling awful’ and needing ‘stat blood work and an ultrasound.’
At the time, she told her fans that she was still ‘experiencing a missed miscarriage’ and that her body wasn’t ‘releasing the pregnancy.’
‘Worried a bit about infection, so here we are,’ Jade explained of why she went to the hospital.

‘Please respect my choice to try and go this route naturally, I appreciate all the love and support. Reading your kind words really does help me get through the tougher parts of this.’
A missed miscarriage occurs when ‘the baby has died or not developed, but has not been physically miscarried,’ according to the Miscarriage Association.
The reality star added more text towards the bottom of the image, and explained, ‘I looked up and Tanner told me to smile, he’s been trying to make me laugh today to help keep our state a little lighter with everything that’s going on.’
Jade tied the knot with Tolbert, in 2016 and the couple currently share three kids: Emmy, six, Brooks, four, and two-year-old Reed.
To conclude her update, Roper typed out in the upper right corner, ‘Also think I’ve worn this 4 days out of this week so far,’ humorously referencing to her comfortable ensemble.

‘While our hearts are completely broken and we have been dealing with the deep and complex grief of the loss, we have been blessed to be touched by his soul for his short amount of time. I am forever changed,’ Jade emotionally added.
She then explained, ‘I’m currently experiencing what is a called a missed miscarriage, so while his heart has stopped and he has stopped growing (for some time now), my body hasn’t released the pregnancy yet.’
‘I am hoping to do this naturally and am trusting in timing and in my body under the care of my provider.’
Roper expressed, ‘I’ve been carrying him with so much pride and cherish every moment still left with part of him, but it has also been equally as challenging and devastating.’
To conclude her heartbreaking message, the star wrote, ‘So while I hold my belly here, our sweet baby’s body is resting in my womb as his soul soars. We love you with every piece of our hearts, baby Beau. ❤️.’
Social media users and celebrities jumped to the comment section to send their love and support to Jade and her family.
Vanderpump Rules star, Stassi Schroeder, typed, ‘I’m so sorry ❤️,’ while Jade’s husband, Tanner, also replied with a red heart emoji.
