  • Associates of BLORD have accused VeryDarkMan of spreading false claims about his detention and bail process, escalating ongoing tensions.
  • In a strongly worded statement, the group alleged that VeryDarkMan misrepresented details about BLord’s condition and detention, particularly claims that he was moved from a “ghetto prison” to a VIP cell due to illness.

Supporters of cryptocurrency mogul BLORD have taken a firm stand against social media commentator VeryDarkMan, accusing him of disseminating inaccurate information about BLORD’s legal situation.

In a pointedly critical statement, the group contended that VeryDarkMan distorted facts concerning BLORD’s health and incarceration. Specifically, they challenged claims that BLORD was relocated from a “ghetto prison” to a more comfortable cell due to health issues.

Expressing their frustration, an associate remarked, “I didn’t want to make this video, but VeryDarkMan’s fabrications have left me with no choice. VDM, your downfall is near. You claimed BLORD was ill and moved from a ‘ghetto prison’ to a VIP cell. Were you present to witness this?”

The group also mentioned that the prison authorities were reportedly angered by the situation’s portrayal, citing a supposed warning from the Controller of Kuje Prison.

They further stated, “The Controller of Kuje Prison informed us that if he had been there when BLORD was escorted from court to prison, he would have taken serious action against you for violating the law,” adding a sense of gravity to the accusations.

The associates also accused VeryDarkMan of being aware of legal developments in the case, including the counter affidavit filed by the police to oppose BLORD’s bail application, contrary to his public claims.

The back-and-forth has intensified tensions surrounding the case, with both sides trading accusations as legal proceedings continue.

Meanwhile…. Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has claimed that social media personality VeryDarkMan would have remained in detention if he had not intervened during his arrest in 2024.

Sowore made the remark while recalling events around the Easter period of 2024, when VeryDarkMan was arrested in a case that drew widespread public attention and online reactions.

“VeryDarkMan would still be in prison if I had not intervened during Easter 2024 when he was arrested,” he said.

The activist did not give further details on the nature of his intervention or the specific legal steps involved at the time.

The 2024 incident occurred during the Easter period when VeryDarkMan was arrested over allegations linked to cyber-related offences, including accusations of cyberbullying and online harassment involving public commentary on individuals.

He was detained by law enforcement authorities and faced court proceedings, with his case attracting significant social media attention. Supporters and critics engaged in heated debate over the legitimacy of the arrest and the broader issue of online speech regulation in Nigeria.
