Callum Turner came up with the design with a bit of help. In fact, we can’t think of the last celebrity engagement ring that looked anything like Dua Lipa’s. The ring is bold and modern, featuring an unconventional mount that creates a sculpted feel. The chunky band organically melts with a round-cut solitaire diamond for a look that is sleek but still interesting.

Dua Lipa told Vogue that Turner didn’t come up with the ring all on his own. Apparently, he had a little help from her friends and family. She admitted her fiancé leaned on the input of her sister, Rina, and some of her best friends to finalize the unique design. She’s clearly over the moon with the outcome.

As for how much it cost the Green Room star, Dua Lipa didn’t say, but jewelers and experts are weighing in on how much he dropped on the engagement ring. Brides estimates that Turner spent between $65,000 and $125,000 on the symbol of his love. Maxwell Stone, a jeweler who spoke with Hello! Magazine doesn’t think the actor paid nearly that much, but admits the custom design was still costly. Stone believes the ring likely commanded over $37,000.

Wedding plans aren’t underway, though

While Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are thrilled by their engagement, planning for the big day is not in the works just yet. The couple has other things to worry about at the moment. Both of their careers are in full swing. She is in the midst of her global Radical Optimism tour. Turner is hard at work, too. He has three upcoming films and a TV show in various stages of development.

While the couple hasn’t begun planning just yet, Dua Lipa did admit she’s already thinking about what type of bride she wishes to be. She admits, though, that it’s the first time she’s ever given it any thought.
