In a recent onstage mishap, Cardi B took a tumble backward off a chair during a performance. Her swift recovery has caught the attention of experts, who are now discussing her impressive handling of the situation.

Cardi B has been a frequent topic in the news lately. From her cameo at Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show to rumors of her breakup with NFL player Stefon Diggs, and even causing a buzz by crashing the Fanvue platform after offering fans free tickets to her Little Miss Drama tour.

The “Bodak Yellow” star has also made headlines with two notable falls. The first occurred during a lap dance she gave to a robot, and the second happened just over a week later when she took a spill off a chair on stage in Las Vegas. Her differing reactions to these incidents have, according to experts, only increased her appeal among her fan base.

On Feb. 7, Cardi was seen leaving her hotel in San Francisco to attend the Fanatics Super Bowl Party. Several fans and members of the media had been waiting outside catch a glimpse of the “WAP” artist. Instead of just rushing by and hopping right into the waiting vehicle. Cardi gave everyone a treat when she spotted a humanoid robot and began to dance on it.

When she put her hands on the robot, it fell and so did she. The robot ended up falling forward on the ground as Cardi lost her balance and fell backward. A few people then rushed to help her up. Luckily, she was not injured, but the moment was obviously embarrassing, especially since it was caught on camera by those standing around.

When the video went viral, Cardi seemed upset and even talked about suing. But the following week, when she had another public fall, the “Up” hitmaker handled it differently, and fans love her for it.

While performing  “Thotiana” at the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas as part of her Little Miss Drama tour, Cardi fell backward off a chair she was using. She made a quick recovery though, and continued her set and even made a joke about it, saying, “That was the government!” According to an expert, Cardi handled that moment perfectly.

He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.”

When discussing her chair fall in Vegas, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “Cardi B laughs off the fall completely. She carried on performing like it never happened, like it was part of the show. She wasn’t fazed by it. Cardi took the fall like water off a duck’s back. There are no microexpressions to suggest she was embarrassed or frustrated. She instead made jokes about it, flipping the situation like it was nothing and turning it into a real moment of humor.

“Analyzing this moment at a deeper level, it shows how Cardi has a strong resilience. She has a strong constitution and is authentic. What you see is what you get with Cardi B. She didn’t make a big deal out of it and her confidence wasn’t knocked. Instead, she took the moment in her stride and reacted on a personable level, no doubt winning over fans while doing so.”

Showbiz Cheat Sheet acknowledges that conditions and cultures can impact body language and is sensitive to all backgrounds.
