The longtime Las Vegas performer, who has maintained a residency in the city for more than two decades, entered the hospital on Sept. 18. Two days later, his representative provided an update on his recovery.
“Scott remains hospitalized and under close medical care,” the representative said in a statement to TMZ on Sept. 20. “He is now awake, breathing on his own and continuing to improve, surrounded by his family and those closest to him.”
At the time, the representative said Carrot Top was joking with the medical professionals treating him and taking comfort in messages from fans. He was also reading accounts from people who said his comedy had helped them get through challenging moments in their lives.
