Super Bowl buddies: David Beckham and F1 driver Lewis Hamilton hang out in VIP box at star-studded event
They’re two of the best British sporting talents of the modern day, so it should come as no surprise that footballer David Beckham and Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton are buddies.
The stars were spotted chatting away as they watched the Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday afternoon with their manager Simon Fuller.
The pair were deep in conversation in their private box before standing up with excitement and recording something on their mobile phones.

Lewis went for an all-leather look, with a matching black leather jacket and cap, while David looked classically hunky in a simple khaki jacket and a knitted cream cardigan.
Both British stars are managed by Simon Fuller, who is best known for being the creator of the Idol franchise including American Idol.
The entrepreneur also launched the career of the Spice Girls, which saw David’s wife Victoria Beckham hit the dizzy heights of worldwide fame.

Explaining the off-side rule? Lewis had captured David’s attention during the American sporting event
But it wasn’t just a sporting event for Beckham, who was also at the NFL game to see the first view of his latest H&M clothing advert go out to millions of viewers.
The star was seen in just his boxers, running around for most of the advert – which no doubt went down well with his female admirers.
And it looks like the footballer is setting his sights on spending more time in America, as he creeps ever-closer to signing a deal to create a Miami football team.
With plans in the works to create Miami United, it is said David is also looking for a new house across the pond.
The British star has denied rumours that he is looking at the £11.5m seven bedroom pad in advance of finalising a deal for a new Major League football team and stadium on the Atlantic coast.
Along with the vast array of bedrooms, the house is said to boast a cinema, rooftop terrace, deluxe swimming pool and a wine cellar with ocean views.
A Miami insider told Jennifer O’Brien at The Sun: ‘He’s going to be spending a lot of time here and needs a base big enough for him, Victoria and all the kids.
‘David’s advisers have lined up several properties for him to view and Matt’s is one of the best available.‘

The footballer and his wife, Victoria, moved back to England last year after uprooting from Los Angeles and buying a £30m property in central London.
But the star’s plans for a new football team, reportedly to be called Miami United, might put pay to his family’s beloved British home life.
He’s currently in the last stages of a plan to own a Major League Soccer (MSL) franchise team – the option of becoming a team owner was included in the MLS contract Beckham signed when joining the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007.
The star was spotted at the Miami Heat vs New York Knicks basketball game over the weekends, before attending the Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday where his latest advert for H&M was aired.

The house: Matt Damon’s mega-pad is on the market for £11.5m and boasts seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and a private roof terrace
The move to Miami might be a brilliant idea for David, but his wife, Victoria, and children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, are settling into British life perfectly.
After their move to London last year, Victoria told MailOnline: ‘You know, I’m so happy to be back in London, we all are.
‘The kids go to fantastic schools, they have lots of friends and our family live in London, we’re very proud to be British.’
David’s representative said the rumours he was buying Matt Damon’s house were ‘not true’.
Family abode? The star’s denied he’s eyeing up a Miami mansion with enough bedrooms and bathrooms to house his whole family
