The film centers on a survival story set in South Carolina, where residents are caught in the chaos of a Category Five hurricane. As if the floodwaters weren’t enough, they soon discover the waters are teeming with ravenous sharks. Dynevor portrays a heavily pregnant woman, abandoned by her partner, who must navigate these treacherous conditions alone until a teenager steps in to help. The thriller also features performances from Whitney Peak and Djimon Hounsou.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle follows four vastly different high school students who stumble upon an old video game system during after school detention. But, after they choose their respective avatars, some of which don’t match them at all, the gang gets sucked into the cursed video game where they must fight for their lives. Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan star in this comedy from Red One director Jake Kasdan, that later earned a sequel in 2019 titled Jumanji: The Next Level.

Photo: Everett Collection IF follows a young girl named Bea who is going through a difficult time when she has to move in with her grandmother while her father undergoes heart surgery. As she fears what could happen next to her only living parent, Bea gets recruited by Calvin (Ryan Reynolds) and imaginary friend Blue (voiced by Steve Carell) to help them reunite lost imaginary friends with their original companions. The movie was written and directed by John Krasinski.

Rudd and Black star in the 2025 film as two friends who lead a film crew into the Amazon rainforest to film a remake of the movie they know and love. But their trip takes a turn when they actually come across the deadly animal. Thandiwe Newton and Steve Zahn also star in this comedy, rounding out the movie’s “game-for-anything cast,” as Decider’s John Serba put it in his review.
