In a recent episode of Below Deck Down Under, tensions flared among the cast members over the issue of ordering custom breakfasts from Chef Ben Robinson.

During the episode aired on Monday, March 23, Mike Durrant made a seemingly simple request for an omelette for himself and the crew. Chef Ben was surprised by this, pointing out that he typically doesn’t offer such personalized dishes to guests, to prevent being overwhelmed with custom orders.

Alesia pulled Mike aside, advising him to refrain from making such requests in the future. Mike, however, wasn’t receptive to the advice and pushed back against Alesia’s criticism. The incident eventually reached Ben, who sided with Alesia, acknowledging her concern about his workload in the kitchen.

Season 4, which kicked off in February, sees Captain Jason Chambers leading the team aboard the Katina in the Caribbean. He is joined by Chef Ben, Daisy Kelliher, and João Franco. Alesia returns as sous chef, working alongside new stews Joe Caron and Jenna Woudberg, deck/stew Mike, and deckhands Eddy Hounsell and Betul Yazici. Alesia later transitions to the interior team when Ellie Dubaich joins as a galley hand.

Biggest 'Below Deck' Feuds Ever — and Where the Relationships Stand Today grey jacket

The Below Deck franchise has consistently delivered some of reality TV’s most riveting feuds. Viewers were particularly shocked by the dramatic fallout in the spinoff series, Below Deck Mediterranean, when a major clash between Hannah Ferrier and Captain Sandy Yawn resulted in one of the show’s most unforgettable firings.

Jason previously told Us that season 4 was “challenging for everyone” on board.

“Everyone had their own little thing going on. Daisy was joining a new franchise and she had a point to prove. She was coming off a bad season on Sailing Yacht where she wasn’t putting her foot down with some crew. João is coming back as a captain and he had to swallow egos and pride to get back on deck and help me out,” he explained in February. “Then you got Ben, who hasn’t been in this scenario for quite some time. He’s been running his own business.”

Jason continued, “To pick up the knives and pack his bag after a failed relationship and say yes to being down here in 12 hours and change his life upside down. We were all in something. There was so much tension there. Now I’m looking back and I’m just like, ‘Wow, we were all in a personal challenge going into it.’”

The Below Deck franchise has had its fair share of chaos over the years, but there were some moments that stood out more. During season 7 of the Bravo show, chief stew Kate Chastain and bosun Ashton Pienaar had a scary confrontation when the latter was drunk after a night out. Ashton ended up punching […]

While Bravo viewers are used to issues playing out on screen, this season of Below Deck Down Under is different.

“There’s a difference between the fighting that we’ve seen in the previous seasons to this one. This is what the audience is going to love now, which I am really starting to see how it’s going to unfold myself. I only see it with you all. But it is the fact that the things that are going on are true personality and work related issues to get through,” Jason shared. “In working in such close confinement, it’s really raw stuff. It’s not just pointless arguing over silly topics. It’s just the crew — not just the heads of department. There’s more to it than that? but it’s actually [a] challenging drama that is significant or poignant to actually operating a vessel.”

Below Deck Down Under airs on Bravo Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
