Cream of the crop! Emma Watson shows off midriff as she hits the red carpet at GQ Men of the Year Awards

She has come a long way from her adolescent days as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter.

And Emma Watson was certainly catching the more adult clientele’s attention at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in a midriff-exposing ensemble.

The 23-year-old French-born beauty was wearing a  white crop top, from the Balenciaga Resort 2014 collection, and a pair of high-waisted loose black trousers.

The actress accessorised her outfit with a small black clutch bag and a pair of peep-toe black heels, and wore no jewellery to allow the outfit to shine.

Emma pinned her cropped brunette locks back, and completed the look with a delicate French plait along one side.

She wore dramatic pink cheek blush, red lip tint and shimmery eye make-up along with lashings of mascara to enhance her petite features.

Since finishing her ten year career on the famous Harry Potter films, Emma made a decision to stick with acting and was since cast in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, 2012, and Bling Ring, out this year.

She recently told EW magazine: ‘I wanted to make a conscious adult decision that this was what I wanted to pursue, because that decision was made for me as a nine-year-old. I had no idea what I wanted. I had no idea who I was really.

‘So I wanted to step away and make sure this is what I wanted to pour my life and my energy and my blood, sweat, and tears into.’

‘So I was really grappling with it and wasn’t feeling good about it. And then, I don’t know … it got so bad and people had put me in a box so much that it started p**sing me off.

‘I suddenly wanted to prove them wrong. It gave me fuel, in a way. I’m not sure why that shift happened.’
