Married At First Sight bride Sara Mesa was brutally attacked by her co-stars during Monday night’s wild Reunion Grand Finale.
The 29-year-old found herself on the defence after her scandalous rendezvous with an ex-boyfriend several weeks into the experiment while she was married to Tim Caldwell was once again brought back to light.
Fellow bride Cassandra Allen kicked off the verbal flaying, accusing Sara of being the biggest ‘liar’ in the group and who was just on the show to ‘play games’.
Sara was seated on the couch with Tim in front of the relationship experts as they watched a recap of their tumultuous relationship.
The video ended on a hopeful note, with the pair declaring their love for one another during their Final Vows, but the other participants ‘saw right through’ it.
‘She just lies,’ Cass cut in when the clip came to an end, to which Sara responded: ‘That’s so f**king rude.’
Relationship expert John Aiken jumped in to get clarity, asking Cass why she has such a strong opinion about Sara.
‘Everything out of her mouth is a lie,’ Cass repeated. ‘She lies to make herself look better. There’s nothing honest about her.’
‘How would you know that? Do you know me?’ Sara snapped back.
‘You’ve just been playing games,’ Cass retorted.
‘That’s f**king bullshit. Do you know my story? Have you asked a single personal question about me?’ the blonde beauty replied.
‘I don’t want to get to know you. Trust me. I’ve seen enough,’ Cass responded with a laugh.
Sara hit back at her fellow bride once more, but John, 53, jumped in again to say: ‘Cassandra, I have got to ask, what is it about Sara that gets under your skin?’
‘She just lies. She is just fake. Everything out of her mouth is fake. You just lie. Every time I talk to you, you’re just the nastiest person,’ Cass said.
Sara continued her verbal spray against Cass, accusing her of having a ‘vendetta’ against her, despite the pair never having ‘spoken two words outside of this conversation’.
At this point, fellow groom Michael Felix added his two cents and backed up Cass and took fire at Sara’s ‘character’.
When the nutrition coach said she couldn’t ‘understand why’ Cass was turning on her all of a sudden, Michael said: ‘The character that you’ve displayed. That’s why.’
Sara tried to tell him to ‘shut up’, but Michael, 34, continued: ‘What she said has been true. I saw right through you.
‘I came in at the beginning, I thought you were pretty cool, then I saw the real you and realised you’re s**t.’
Cass put the final nail in the coffin, saying: ‘You are not real. You are not authentic. You are the worst.’
Despite their rollercoaster journey on the show, Tim and Sara were going strong following filming for the experiment and he was even invited on her girls’ trip to Bali.
However, a source told Daily Mail Australia he was unable to attend the trip due to ‘personal reasons’.
‘He came to see her a week before the reunion and stayed with her. They celebrated Sara’s birthday and went out for dinner.’
Sara had the trip booked before she appeared on the matchmaking show, but adjusted her flights when she discovered bride Lauren Dunn would be there too.
These days the couple are well and truly over, and Tim has moved on with a Brazilian bombshell called Barbara.
In photos taken in February in Queensland, Tim and Barbara looked loved-up as they grabbed some takeaway food and drinks, before later heading to a nursery to buy some plants.
Tim was not wearing his wedding band in the photos.
At one point, the reality TV hunk’s new woman hugged Tim and planted a kiss on his cheek.
Tim addressed claims he was secretly texting an ex-girlfriend behind his TV wife back during filming for the show in an exclusive chat with Daily Mail Australia the same month.
The revelations came to light on the Kyle and Jackie O show, where a visibly shocked Sara was confronted with allegations Tim had been photographed with another woman on the Gold Coast.
‘I don’t know if this is true, but multiple people I know up in Queensland have said that this Tim has been rooting this Brazilian the entire time, all through the MAFS, all through the filming,’ radio host Kyle Sandilands disclosed.
Sara, taken aback by the allegations, could only express her surprise.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia. Tim adamantly denied cheating on his TV bride.
‘No I wasn’t seeing anyone through the experiment. I was literally locked in, dialled in, trying to make our relationship work,’ he explained.
‘I don’t know why, if she’s bringing that up… she’s trying to throw heat on my end to try and distract, maybe, from whatever going on in her ballpark.’
Tim described his TV marriage with Sara as ‘toxic’ and very up and down.
‘It was definitely very up and down. Almost toxic at this point, I don’t know,’ he said.
‘We were trying our best to be in a relationship. The whole experience is very intense anyway… it was definitely wasn’t comfortable for me.’
