Renowned Nigerian comedian Mazi Okeke recently opened up about the heart-wrenching betrayal that led to the collapse of his engagement. In a candid revelation, Okeke disclosed the shocking reason his ex-fiancée offered after he caught her having an affair with his driver.
During a video shared on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Okeke described the unexpected encounter. He returned home from work, only to discover his fiancée with his driver—a moment he recounts as one of the most devastating experiences of his life.
Reflecting on the encounter, Okeke shared:
“This is how I discovered my fiancée was cheating with my driver. I was coming back from site that day. I caught them. What broke me was when I asked her why.”
As Okeke recounted, his ex-fiancée justified her actions by pointing to his demanding professional commitments. She stated that his frequent travels for work left her feeling isolated and neglected.
He further disclosed that she compared him to her ex, whom she described as someone who was always around, adding that the affair began while he spent a month in China sourcing items for his company.
“She said, ‘I’m too busy. I’m always travelling from one state to another. Her ex was always with her but I was never around. I should cut down on my dreams because I don’t give me attention.’ It all started when I went to China for one month. What baffles me is that there’s no remorse.” he added.

His latest revelation has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many social media users debating whether a demanding career can ever justify infidelity in a relationship.
