Future Zahir Wilson is already contemplating his academic journey.
The young 11-year-old recently shared insights about a college visit he took with NFL quarterback Russell Wilson. During their trip to the University of Texas, Future expressed that he had an “amazing experience” exploring the campus alongside Russell. In a conversation with E! News at the Fashion Scholarship Fund’s FSF LIVE Gala 2026 on March 23, he fondly recalled the visit, highlighting the time spent learning about the university’s athletic offerings.

“I’d be thrilled to attend there someday,” he mentioned. “Touring the campus with my dad was an incredible experience, and we both really enjoyed it.”
Russell Wilson has played a significant role in raising Future with Ciara, who shares her firstborn with the rapper Future.
The quarterback also spoke about his stepson’s growing interest in sports, noting that he sees strong potential across multiple areas.
“I think the cool part with sports nowadays is that kids get recruited, they get looked at early,” he said. “So, just to be able to take him to a school where he would dream about playing… He’s so good at basketball, football, baseball. He’s got a bright, bright future.”
The conversation also turned to Ciara and Russell’s daughter, Sienna Princess Wilson, who is already showing strong athletic interests. The 8-year-old said she would be open to playing football if given the opportunity.
“If they make a football team for the girls, I’d do that,” she said. “If they make one, which they should. I want to play tackle ball.”
Ciara also spoke about Sienna’s confidence and drive, and pointed to the growing opportunities for girls in sports.
“She’s such a little athlete like me, but she’s also a sassafras,” she said. “She loves playing flag football. She’s really tough, but I love that because you think about the world of women in sports. I love that, at such a young age, she’s so fearless and believes in herself. So why not girls, baby!”
In addition to Sienna and Future, Ciara and Russell are also parents to Win Harrison, 5, and Amora Princess, 2.
