‘Tracker’ Was Renewed for Season 3

Amid season 2 of Tracker, which is currently airing on CBS, the network announced that several shows were being renewed for the 2025-2026 broadcast season. Tracker was one of the series on the list, as well as Hollywood Squares, Elsbeth, Fire Country and more.

The season 3 renewal was not a surprise, considering the amazing ratings that the show has had for the first two seasons, becoming the No. 1 non-sports show on television for the 2023-2024 season.

Justin Hartley Celebrates ‘Tracker’ Season 3 Renewal

Following the February 20, 2025, press release, Justin Hartley, who plays Colter and serves as an executive producer, shared a video thanking his cast and crew for the big achievement.

“I just wanted to congratulate everyone on season 2; our numbers are up from season 1. Something like six percent or eight percent or 11 percent or something like that. That hardly ever happens,” the This Is Us alum said in a clip on his Instagram page. “It’s all thanks to you guys, and because of all the hard work you’ve done on season 2, they have picked us up for season 3. They didn’t give us information as far as like the number of episodes, but it’s somewhere between 18 and 22, so that’s pretty good.”

“And also, I just want to say thank you because this show doesn’t have a season 2 without you,” he said. “This show doesn’t have a successful season 1 without you. This show certainly doesn’t have a season 3 without you, so thank you for all your hard work and dedication and effort and time and for just being badass, lovely, nice, human beings that are talented, so thank you.”

Fans flew to Instagram to leave comments on the show’s official account to show their love for the drama series.

“Yesss the whole family loves this show!” one person said, while another wrote, “It is a really redeeming show, fighting the bad… looking for justice and finding the lost… and always teaching us something along the way!”

“I am loving the show and you as the lead! But our side kick lawyer is the bomb!” another said.

Which Characters Will Be Returning for Season 3 of ‘Tracker’?

While it’s a given that Justin will return as Colter in season 3 of Tracker, Fiona Rene, who plays Reenie Greene also hinted she would be back next season. She voiced her hopes for her character’s plot in season 3 during a March 2025 interview with TV Insider.

“I hope that we get to see more Reenie backstory, just like we get some more Colter backstory,” Fiona told the outlet. “We mentioned in Episode 10, Season 1 about Reenie’s dad and sister. And I’m just so interested in seeing more of her upbringing and if it’s what we kind of assume or if it’s something totally different. I think she’s such a unique fiery force of nature that I’m like, what family made this person to be who she is? And obviously, I want to keep helping the tracker track.”

Many are also hoping that Bobby and Velma return, along with Russell and Dory.

When Will Season 3 of ‘Tracker’ Premiere?

CBS revealed that season 3 of Tracker will air within the 2025-2026 broadcast season, however, an official premiere date has yet to be revealed.

For now, fans can catch new episodes of season 2 of Tracker on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
