Jenny & Sumit Reveal Visa Progress, Debunk Health Rumors

Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh, popular faces from 90 Day Fiancé, are navigating through challenging times, grappling with health concerns and visa complications.

Jenny, 68, revealed in May that she received a diagnosis of ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, toward the end of 2025. This condition, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a progressive neurological disorder that currently has no cure and is ultimately fatal.

On July 27, the couple, who continue to appear on the third season of 90 Day: The Last Resort, connected with fans via Instagram to provide updates on their situation.

“We’ve been receiving many questions about Jenny’s condition and my visa status, so we felt it was essential to give a brief update,” they wrote in their social media post.

Sumit from ‘90 Day: The Last Resort’ says Jenny can still do many things on her own

In the accompanying video, Sumit, 38, first addressed social media rumors about the toll the disease had taken on his wife, whom he married in 2021.

“She is still able to do like, walking, talking, everything and she is not depending completely on anyone or on me,” he said. “What you see on some pages that are posting that she is in a hospital bed and unable to do anything – that is a lie.”

“We are still hoping and praying that there will be a solution, there will be a treatment for this,” he added.

With Jenny by his side, Sumit also shared that he and his wife were working on getting him a visa that would allow him to travel to the U.S. with her so she could get care. The couple currently live in India and Sumit had previously been reluctant to begin the lengthy process of applying for a U.S. visa. Her daughter recently said the couple were trying to get Sumit approved for an emergency tourist visa.

“We are not sitting idle,” Sumit said. “We are trying.”

Jenny Slatten tells her followers she is ‘OK’

Jenny did not speak much in the video, but toward the end, she did tell followers that she was “OK.”

While Jenny’s voice was noticeably altered, she assured people that she is “able to take care of myself.”

“With help from him,” she added, tapping Sumit on the arm.

In the caption, the couple also gave a shout-out to fellow 90 Day star Sarper Güven. Sarper, who also appears on this season of The Last Resort, has turned several of his recent stand-up shows into fundraisers for Jenny.

“We also want to say a very special thank you to Sarper for dedicating his stand-up comedy show to support Jenny’s ALS fundraiser,” they wrote. “Thank you to everyone who came to his show, bought tickets, and even gifted tickets to your friends and family to help Jenny. Your kindness means the world to us.”
