Bachelor Nation couple Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick were ‘saddened with heavy hearts’ to announce the amicable end of their two-year engagement on Sunday.
The Canadian 38-year-old and the 34-year-old New York native – who began their romance in 2019 – would ‘love’ if their fans would ‘say some sort of prayer for both of our hearts’ as they ‘go through our individual journeys to heal.’
And while the Nashville-based couple never had children, Kaitlyn and Jason wrote that they’ll split custody of their Golden Retrievers Ramen and Pinot, who ‘will continue to be cared for together as brothers’ amid their ‘life-altering decision.’
‘Continuing our friendship is incredibly important to both of us. We feel grateful to be ending our engagement with love and respect for each other,’ Bristowe and Tartick noted.
‘It’s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for one another will never die. We are beyond thankful for the memories made together, and for your support of us and the boys throughout the years.
