Being a single parent is unquestionably hard. And, despite having all of the resources, both financial and beyond, Kim Kardashian is opening up, stating that she is “still learning” how to parent her children as a single parent.
In a recent episode of The Kardashians, the 43-year-old opened up, speaking in-depth about her feelings as a single parent and how she’s responding to the backlash regarding her comments in light of her having a multitude of resources to help out.
“I just did the Jay Shetty podcast where I spoke about parenting, and I mean, I should be used to it by now, but everyone had a lot to say,” she said began immediately starting to address the backlash. Kardashian continued, “The struggles that my kids go through really have nothing to do with the amount of help that I have.”
“Obviously, having nannies and a chef to help cook is beyond helpful. It’s all about family and enjoying these moments. It takes a village to raise kids, but at the end of the day, your kids only want you.”
The SKIMS founder concluded, “The one thing that everyone has in common is just the amount of time that we have. I’m raising four kids and I split my time between my work, my family, my four kids and I want to make sure that my kids have 90% of that.”
Kardashian unquestionably has proven this summer that she is trying very hard to ensure that her children are exposed and engaged in the things that they love. We have seen her transverse the globe for soccer matches, artist encounters, and more just to make sure that her children are embracing what makes them who they are as individuals.

The SKINS founder also recently revealed that she hired a “manny” in order to help bring a bit of discipline to the household, especially when it comes to her son, Saint. And of course she was nervous to tell her ex-husband, rapper/entrepreneur Kanye West, but in the end, West was supportive of Kardashian’s decision. The multi-hyphenated entertainer even took time to meet the new hire, sharing a game of basketball with him and son, Saint.
When it comes to her children, the entrepreneur/reality star admits, despite the fact that she has help or no help, parenting, single or not is just simply hard hard. Yet, Kardashian seems to be getting it right as she focuses on what’s important.
“Motherhood is the most challenging and rewarding experience of life,” she said in an interview with CR Fashion Book. “The days are so long but the years are so short.I love the night snuggles, I love our morning madness before school — I love it all. Even when it seems overwhelming, I know that my babies will grow up and I will wish for the days of tantrums and the cute little PJs and bath time and book time. So, I cherish it all!”
Kardashian shares all four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm with rapper/entrepreneur Kanye West.
