Kourtney Kardashian reveals the sex of her baby as Travis Barker does a drum roll

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker delighted friends and family when they revealed the sex of their first child together.

In an Instagram post from Saturday, the 44-year-old reality star and the 47-year-old Blink-182 drummer looked completely loved up as they awaited the surprise.

Kourtney highlighted her growing baby bump in a figure-hugging top as she took a seat on Travis’ lap on a platform where his drum set had been assembled while a crowd surrounded it.

The drummer showcased his impeccable showmanship by doing an anticipation-increasing roll on his snare drum, even though he had to take his eyes of it because Kourtney leaned in for a long, passionate kiss.

But as soon as he did a final crash on his cymbals, a burst of baby blue confetti and streamers shot up into the sky, revealing that the lovebirds will be welcoming a boy.

It’s a boy! As the 47-year-old rocker did a final crash on his cymbals, a mass of baby blue confetti shot out into the air

Kourtney was dressed for the event in a skin-tight long-sleeve white top that clung to her voluptuous figure and showcased the curve of her pregnant tummy. 

She had the top tucked into a set of white pants, and she contrasted both with her ever-chic black bob.

Travis mirrored her with his white tank top, and he covered his shaved head with a black beanie.

The rocker held his drumsticks with his arms on either side of his wife, while she affectionately rested one hand on his free thigh. 

The clip was filmed on a phone by someone in the crowd, and noise from the blustery wind made it difficult to hear the lovebirds, but amid the din Travis could be heard saying, ‘Tell me when you’re ready.’ 

Then he turned toward the side of the stage and inquired: ‘Is our pyro guy ready?’

‘I don’t know what’s happening! What you guys planned,’ Kourtney added as she looked a bit unsure about the procedure.

It’s unclear if either parent had learned about the sex of the baby prior to the reveal, or if they were as shocked as their guests.

Kourtney’s mother Kris Jenner clearly couldn’t wait to find out if she was going to have a girl or boy grandchild.

‘Let’s get the party started, we’re all excited!’ she shouted. 

Once Travis got the all clear signal, he started a roll on his snare, and Kourtney took that signal to tilt her head back to lock lips with him.

Travis smashed his cymbals just as a mild explosion erupted from cannons placed behind them, shooting the pale blue streamers into the air.

Hopefully the couple chose a biodegradable option or had runners on hand to pick up the mess from their sex reveal, as the heavy wind almost instantly whipped the streamers far away from their place of origin.

The crowd members went wild and broke out into cheers as soon as they saw the color blue standing out against the darker sky.

Kourtney and Travis were over the moon at the news, and the Poosh founder turned to wrap her arms around her husband’s neck for another extended makeout session as their loved ones cheered them on.
