Nathan Griffith has been moved to a medium security prison

Nathan Griffith’s time at the Clark County Detention Center is over for now. Griffith was remanded to the detention center back in late April. He was sentenced to at least 14 months behind bars in May. Now, he’s on to his next home. Griffith was transferred to Southern Desert Correctional Center, a medium-security prison, for the rest of his term. The center is located within the Las Vegas city limits, which should make visits easy for Oyola.

According to official court records, Griffith’s official release date is listed as May 2027, but his term could be shorter. Technically, he could be released as soon as July 2026, provided he exhibits good behavior. Upon release, Griffith will be expected to adhere to a series of strict requirements. The Nevada resident has had difficulty following court orders in the past. Probation violations are pretty common for the veteran. Griffith was on probation after strangling his sister in a July 2023 attack when he was arrested for attacking Anastasia Biddle. He was prohibited from drinking alcohol as a condition of that probation, but he was drunk when police approached him.

Griffith’s prison sentence likely means he’ll remain out of touch with his children for the foreseeable future. From the sounds of it, that’s not much different from previous years. Both Griffith and Jenelle Evans have revealed that Griffith was not in regular contact with their shared child at the time of his arrest. The lack of contact stymied Teen Mom fans, considering that Griffith contacted Evans on the evening of the incident that led to his arrest.

Despite Griffith being incarcerated at the moment, his current wife has assumed a parental role in his absence, it seems. She recently appeared to watch both Kaiser Griffith and Ensley Eason while Evans was out of town. It’s unclear how much time she spends with her stepson and his half-sister, though.

Griffith has an older child, a daughter named Emery, from a past relationship. It is unclear if Griffith has contact with the teen. She remains out of the public eye, as does her mother.
