Gizelle Bryant is giving an update on Karen Huger following her release from prison.

Following the Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 premiere, Bryant stopped by the Bravo Clubhouse for Sunday night’s (Oct. 5) episode of Watch What Happens Live, where host Andy Cohen asked if she had talked to Huger since she was released from prison last month.

“I have. She’s doing good. She looks good,” Bryant said. “Gained a little weight. She said there are carbs in jail.”

Shocked, Cohen noted, “I’m sure she’s thrilled for that to be the first thing you said about her.”

But the Reasonably Shady podcast host clarified that she meant that as a compliment, telling Cohen, “[Huger] gained weight in a good way. She’s got a nice little booty. She looks really good.”

“I really missed her,” she added. “So I’m super happy she’s home.”

Huger was arrested in March 2024 after crashing her car into a street sign. Police footage later showed Huger visibly intoxicated as she slurred her words, admitted to being “lit,” and referred to herself as “Thomas Jefferson’s concubine.” She also made mention of Cohen, who is an executive producer on The Real Housewives of Potomac. Huger was charged with DUI and hit with six other traffic violations, and ultimately found guilty on all charges except reckless driving.

The reality star was sentenced to one year behind bars back in February, but she ended up getting released in September (only six months into her sentence). As fans saw in the beginning of RHOP Season 10, which continued filming without her, Bravo cameras were there to capture the moment she left prison.

It seems that Huger has been in touch with many of her castmates, both past and present. When Decider caught up with former star Candiace Dillard Bassett at the Virtual Reali-Tea Awards last month, she said she has also spoken to the Grande Dame.

“I have spoken to her. She is doing really well. She is with family and just recalibrating and figuring out what she’s going to do next. Whatever that is, it’s going to be amazing,” she said. “Karen is a resilient woman. She’s a smart woman, and she has a lot to say. I can see a book, I could see a LifeTime movie. There are so many directions she could go in. So, I’m excited to see what she does next.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
