SAG Awards 2024 LIVE — Jeremy Allen White named the ‘people’s prince’ as Pedro Pascal sends NSFW message to rival

THE 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards aired Saturday night on Netflix and three of the world’s favorite heartthrobs took center stage.

Jeremy Allen White took home the award for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series and social media was ablaze.

“Jeremy allen white forever the people’s prince,” one viewer wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

“Jeremy allen white is having a prince off,” another agreed.

Pedro Pascal took home a surprise win for Outstanding Performance in a Drama Series, beating friendly rival Kieran Culkin who won the Emmy for the same category.

The two have been up against one another multiple times this award season and when asked if he was going to rag Kulkin for the loss, Pascal responded, “I’m going to make out with Kieran tonight. That’ll be my revenge.”

However, the biggest winner of the night was the cast of Oppenheimer, who took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

    Although many know Fran Drescher for her starring role in the hit sitcom, The Nanny, she’s gained a new kind of fame as a union activist this year.

    As the SAG-AFTRA president, Fran was a prominent voice during last year’s strike and was spotlighted for her work during the SAG Awards.

    She took the stage to give a powerful speech about activism and the future of acting.

  • Reunions galore

    There were several reunions during tonight’s SAG Awards. Legendary casts from Modern Family and The Devil Wears Prada came together on the SAG stage.

  • Oppenheimer leaves as winners

    The cast of Oppenheimer took home the most coveted award of the night, Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

  • Idris Elba closes out the show

    Idris Elba closed out the show by thanking the SAG-AFTRA union and congratulating all the actors who produced work this year.

    The live show has now concluded, but Netflix will be adding the broadcast to streaming for all those who missed it or want to relive their favorite moments.

    The cast of Oppenheimer!

    Kenneth Branagh accepted the award and thanked Christopher Nolan first.

    He thanked the SAG-AFTRA union and said the cast was proud that they walked out of the premiere in solidarity with the strike.

    She praised her fellow actors for pushing through last year’s strike and called acting a “gift.”

    He spent most of his speech praising his Oppenheimer cast and sent love to his wife and kids.

    “I’m a part of something truly wonderful,” he said to his fellow actors.

    She was stunned to receive the award for her portrayal of Princess Diana.

    Debicki praised her fellow nominees and said that they inspired her craft.

    She told a story of the first role she received in school and how happy she was. Debicki added that she still feels that schoolgirl happiness every time she gets a role.

    SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher took the stage to address the audience after the union’s longest strike in history.

    She said that actors were entering their “Golden Age” and urged the union to protect themselves from the “entrapment of AI.”

    Drescher also told women to lead with empathy instead of emulating male leadership.

    Robert Downey Jr.!

    RDJ has had a shining award season following his performance in one of the year’s biggest films, Oppenheimer.

    He thanked a variety of important people in his life but took special care to mention his wife, Susan Downey.

    She seemed to mess up a few lines and awkwardly paused at multiple points.
